Many workers walked out of the Johnstown plant for the last time on Monday.
Workers at the Freightcar America plant said they were notified on their schedule that Monday would be the day the staff would be cut down significantly.
The Department of Labor reported there were 180 employees as of July 27, but workers report after Monday, only about 30 workers will remain and there is no word how long those 30 will have their jobs either.
"It wasn't an easy 20 years, at times it was pretty rough, and for whatever reason they are laying us off and it's like a slap in the face," former plant worker John Kott said.
Workers said the work done at the Cambria County plant has now been moved to a plant in Virginia.
Officials at Freightcar America did not return phone calls to Channel 6 News about Monday's layoffs.
