A New York textiles manufacturer will receive $125,000 in state incentives to open a plant in Vance County.

Vescom America Inc. will relocate its vinyl wall coverings and upholstery operations from Orangeburg, N.Y., to Henderson, company officials said Wednesday.

Vescom plans to invest $9 million in the facility over the next three years and create 75 jobs, according to a statement from the governor's office.

The incentives are a grant from the One North Carolina Fund.

The new jobs are expected to pay an annual salary of $32,760, compared to a Vance County average of $24,804.

Henderson is about an hour's drive north of Raleigh.

Gov. Mike Easley uses money from the One North Carolina Fund to promote economic development and job creation throughout the state.
