ScottsMiracle-Gro Co. has announced expansion of its main manufacturing plant, building of a new office and purchase of a new facility.
The maker of lawn and garden products said Tuesday that the projects will eventually create about 100 jobs. The company currently employs about 8,000.
The company plans to expand its one-million-square-foot plant in Marysville to process an ingredient in its new EZ Seed product and allow its distribution nationally and in Europe in 2011.
The new office building in Marysville is to open next year to alleviate overcrowding at the current headquarters. The new 550,000-square-foot manufacturing and distribution facility is in Orrville.
The company received Ohio tax credits and grants worth about $500,000 to assist in the projects.
