RALEIGH, N.C. - A landscaping supply company plans to create 212 jobs in the next three years as it opens a manufacturing and distribution plant in Nash County.
Governor Easley made the announcement today about Hanes Geo-Components, a subsidiary of Winston-Salem-based Hanes Companies.
It plans to build a 200-thousand square-foot operation in Middlesex. The company makes grass seed, fertilizer, pesticides and other erosion control equipment.
Average wages for the new jobs will be 642 dollars per week, which is higher than average for the county.
The company also received 212-thousand dollars from the One North Carolina Fund, a taxpayer-funded incentives grant program.
