Edward Jones plans to add 250 jobs as part of its expansion in St. Louis County.

These are in addition to the 500 jobs that the firm added in exchange for state tax credits to help finance its $260 million North campus in Maryland Heights.

Edward Jones Managing Partner Jim Weddle announced the new jobs at the dedication Monday of a second, 372,000-square-foot building at the company’s North campus.

The additional 250 jobs will be spread between the North campus and the company’s South campus on Manchester, said Jackie Knolhoff, a company spokeswoman.

Edward Jones plans to complete an expansion at its South campus by the end of the year and eventually add a third building at its North campus, she said.

St. Louis-based Edward Jones is an investment brokerage and financial services firm, and the fifth-largest privately held company in St. Louis with $3.8 billion in revenue in 2008.
