Company Plans To Add 1,300 NC Jobs Over 5 YearsAssociated Press

FOREST CITY, N.C. - A communications company based in western North Carolina plans to bring 1,300 jobs to Rutherford County and expects investments to top $3 million.
County Economic Developer Tom Johnson said Wednesday that privately held Sky Catcher Communications Inc. will open a high tech communications center that will create between 50 to 100 jobs before the end of the year. The other 1,200 jobs will be spread over the next five years.
The center will be the birth of Sky America Service Center, Inc. and will be a partnership between communication companies in Latin America and Florida. The company said they will provide services for fortune 100 companies such as marketing, polling, surveying and consulting. Investment is expected to exceed $3 million.
