Subaru of Indiana Automotive says the new full-time workers will come from among its current temporary employees at the factory near Lafayette.
The Courier & Journal reported the factory now has nearly 3,300 workers and that the company has increased production because of greater demand for the Subaru Legacy and Subaru Outback models made at the plant.
Subaru officials said the factory is expected to produce more than 250,000 vehicles during 2010, a 30 percent increase from last year.
