Modern technology has given us numerous capabilities explicitly pertaining to the evaluation of a potential employee for a specific position. One would assume that school officials, both public and private, would make a considerable effort to utilize said capabilities during the process of hiring educators.

We as a society have embarked upon a treacherous path of gross misconduct due to our schools being infiltrated by a multitude of pedophiles and predators, only a small percentage of which have been apprehended. The escalation in occurrences and the very mere existence of atrocities such as teachers engaging in sexual acts with students, and the shear boldness through which they execute their actions is truly frightening.

It is utterly despicable to know that the evaluation process of those who work with convicted criminals is twice as rigorous as that of those who have been delegated the task of educating our innocent children. Our children are now, have always been and will remain the most precious and most vital component necessary for the further success of our nation and the survival of liberty. They must be protected at any and all cost and by any means necessary.

Furthermore, ubiquitous measures must be permanently adopted in order to restore integrity and safety in our nation’s educational institutions, and they are as follows: fingerprinting, DNA testing, polygraphs, criminal background checks, personal reference checks, psychological evaluations, drug testing and even credit checks. The time to act is now, for the dormant will not be forgiven!
