Matt works as a human resources team leader for Target Corporation and will help coordinate a hiring blitz Thursday through Saturday in Alabaster.
The company needs more than 200 employees to staff their new store, set to open July 29 in Colonial Promenade South.
“We’re looking for people for virtually every position,” said Matt.
To find so many people in such a short time, Target will have a three-day “mass hiring” at their temporary office next to AmStar Cinema from Thursday, May 31 through Saturday, June 2. Applications will be taken and interviews conducted each day starting at 9 a.m.
“When you come in, you know that day if you’re getting a job,” said Matt.
She advises applicants to come out early to increase the chances of getting hired.
“The earlier the better,” she said. “Once we’ve met our desired need, we’re done.”
