SANDUSKY, OH - With the economy in trouble and Ohio's unemployment rate at 8.8 percent, many unemployed workers searched Saturday afternoon for some good news.
Cedar Point is in need of 4,500 people to work in its park for the coming season.
The park held a job fair Saturday to fill those positions. The park's representative said over the years it has had about 100 show up to fill out applications. This year, the park has seen six times more than it's usually had.
This year the park is offering health benefits to those it hires for seasonal work.
Cedar Point will accept applications through opening day and will hold another job fair on March 28.
