The Home Depot in College Station is hiring 200 additional workers to prepare for one of the busiest home improvement seasons of the year, a company spokeswoman said.

The addition of part-time, full-time and seasonal employees is linked to a national hiring blitz at Home Depot, which is scheduled to hire 1,500 people in select markets this spring. The hiring also will include additional positions at the company's Brenham location. The Atlanta-based company employs about 335,000 people at 2,147 stores around the world.

"We get very busy in the spring," said spokeswoman Shariee Bowman.

The company is specifically looking for skilled workers with experience in electrical, plumbing, millwork and other trades.
