Boeing Hiring Up to 3,000 WorkersReuters

SEATTLE - Boeing Co. will hire up to 3,000 workers by the end of 2004, its first reversal of the 42,000 jobs cut since the Sept. 11, 2001 U.S. hijack attacks, the jetmaker and military contractor said on Friday.
Most of the new or recalled employees will report to Boeing's Seattle-area commercial jet factories, including engineers designing the company's new mid-sized 7E7 jetliner, while a smaller number will work on military programs.
