Recruitment Market Potential estimates cover 700 job categories in more than 370 US metropolitan areas
January, 2004
NEW YORK -- Corzen (http://www.corzen.com) announced today the release of its new 2004 Market Potential recruitment estimates that
reflect the expectation of stronger hiring activity in 2004. The Market
Potential data provides estimates of the number of employees that will be
hired in 2004, by more than 700 occupational categories in more than 370
individual US metropolitan areas.
"Our estimates rank all markets in the US based on the concentration of
qualified employees and on the hiring activities in more than 700 job
categories," said Bruce Murray, Corzen CEO. "Our clients in the recruitment
marketplace can use this data to ensure that their efforts are focused and
efficient."
Corzen's Recruitment Indicators service assembles data on employment
conditions in the US and on recruiting activity taking place on online job
boards. Corzen's latest data indicate that job categories currently
experiencing intense online recruiting activity are: Healthcare,
Business/Financial, Computer/Math, Architecture/Engineering and Production.
Employers seeking to fill positions in these categories will tend to focus
on metropolitan areas with large numbers of workers as well as high
concentrations of employees with skills in these areas. Corzen's new 2004
estimates rank all metro areas by their concentration of employees by job
type.
Additionally, Corzen estimates the number of new hires that employers will
make in key job categories. These hiring forecasts are based on the total
number of jobs in a market and on the estimated level of turnover those jobs
experience.
