Oracle Says It's Hiring 3000 Additional Jobs in IndiaStaff

Softwar Firm Oracle told the INQUIRER today that it is recruiting 2,800 additional jobs to its Indian operations, rather than subtracting 3,000 jobs from the USA.
That follows a report yesterday that Oracle was set to send 175 jobs to India from its Rocklin site. (Here.)
A spokeswoman told the INQUIRER that Oracle would add these jobs to its existing complement in India, and that the additions were irrespective of US head counts.
She added that the decision to increase the Indian headcount was completely separate from staffing issues in the US.
