Former Workers At Closed Rubbermaid Plant Get Employment HelpAssociated Press

DES MOINES, IA - Former workers of a Newell Rubbermaid Home Products plant in Centerville will get federal money to help find new jobs.
The Department of Labor will provide 857-thousand dollars help former workers obtain career counseling, skills training and other employment services.
Iowa Workforce Development will administer the money.
About 525 workers lost their jobs when Newell Rubbermaid closed the plant in September and moved production to Kansas.
Workers at Centerville made Rubbermaid garden sheds, outdoor storage units and garbage containers.
