Wal-Mart Stores Inc., the world's largest retailer, agreed to pay $315,000 to settle two U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission sexual harassment lawsuits.

The lawsuits charged that company employees subjected three female workers to sexual harassment at a store in Bradenton, the commission said Thursday in a statement.

The EEOC has filed seven sexual harassment suits against Wal-Mart, including the two announced Friday, said agency spokesman David Grinberg. Wal-Mart had a written harassment policy in place at this store, he said.

The first lawsuit, filed in August 2004, claimed Wal-Mart allowed a male department supervisor to sexually harass two female employees. According to the second suit, filed in February 2005, Wal-Mart allegedly allowed the store's assistant manager to sexually harass another female employee.
