With more and more older adults having to work indefinitely, assistance for older job seekers becomes especially valuable. The Senior Source has announced the topic and location for Senior Connection meetings scheduled for July, August and September.
Senior Connection provides networking and support for job seekers 50+. Meetings are on the first and third Thursdays of the month from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at The Senior Source, 3910 Harry Hines in Dallas. The topics that will be addressed at the upcoming meetings are:
The topic for the July 16 meeting will be Keys To Networking Success with Scott Peek, career connection volunteer leader as the key speaker.
The August 6 meeting will cover The Internet: Unleash Its Potential In Your Job Search with guest speaker Buffy Peschka Wehner of GoJobing.Com.
On August 20 Anita Paxton of The Lakeshore Companies will speak on Making Staffing Agencies Work For You.
The September 3 meeting will cover Overcoming Job Search Challenges with guest speaker Renae Perry from the Senior Employment Program.
On September 17 Claire Turner of the Senior Employment Program will speak on Getting The Most Out Of A Job Fair.
The Senior Source will also host a Job Search Seminar on July 21 in Grand Prairie:
