Did you know that when prisoners are paroled, they are required to attend classes that they must pay for? They are required to pay the parole officer they must report to.

This is all very good, but to enable the parolees to do this, they must have a means of earning an income. It becomes an unfair expense on the families. Family members should not have this burden to help their loved ones.

They maintain that migrant workers are needed to perform jobs. A simple solution is to have the parole officers help parolees find a job performing the positions that migrant workers are fulfilling. Give them a chance.

So often an employer sees that parolees have a felony on the application. They are not interested in getting to know that so many of them are good workers and good people who simply need a chance. This is all they ask.

They need a chance to prove that they have paid their debt and need to be treated as a citizen. They need to have a job and chance to earn money to do this. We force them to return to crime just so they can eat.
