Holiday hiring has begun and Harrah's Entertainment is getting in on it as well. Thursday, the gaming company will open a new employment center. Harrah's says that's where job seekers can find a one-stop shop for employment.
Ribbon cutting was at 10:30 Thursday morning. Immediately behind Bally's is where you'll find the new integrated employment center for Harrah's Entertainment's six Las Vegas resorts. There you can find a job from Bally's to Caesars Palace.
The $3.5 million employment center features 12,000 square feet dedicated completely to job hunting, and most of it will be done in 36 computerized application stations. Senior vice president of human resources for Harrah's says this is a way for job seekers, especially those with limited computer access and transportation, to find one of many jobs with the company.
The center will be open Monday through Thursday from 8 AM to 4 PM and is located at 3645 Las Vegas Blvd., near Flamingo Road, right behind Bally's.
Harrah's Entertainment Las Vegas is among the largest gaming employers in southern Nevada. There are more than 27,000 employees who work for their resorts. On average, the company hires 150 people each week.
