Online Recruitment Activity Index Methodology
On a daily basis, Wanted Technologies tabulates the number of job postings collected from 300 leading online job sites such as Careerbuilder, HotJobs, Monster, etc -- as well as from the leading national and regional newspaper job sites. To calculate the recruitment activity index for each source, Wanted normalizes the content by:
-- Defining the authenticity of the postings, then excluding all jobs
reposted within the selected period.
-- Removing duplicate job postings resulting from employers posting the
same jobs to multiple categories on the same job board and by also
excluding staffing agencies and free job boards.
-- Only including jobs posted during the selected period and excluding
jobs still present but having been posted prior to the selected period.
