SELF REALISATION "A SMALL STEP FORWARD" By: Aman Singh
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Going through the Times Of India and reading the editorial which has been
my self realisation resolution ever since I can imagine I started taking
resolutions because at this early stage of life I don't think that I have
much of the outer worldly experiences to think about. This word "self-
realisation" has such complexities attached to it that writing about it
will prove to be a futile attempt as many have tried for ages by
writing numerous books ,just to emphasize on the vastness of this word, I would like to take a small step and write about a word I used earlier in my writing," Resolutions". Resolutions come to think of it are just the choices we try to make choose to ignore because as soon as one comes to hear of a person taking a resolution the very next question is did you keep up with it? And the answer most of the time is no!! A straight answer covered in the shadow of humour, as some people will like to call it "Resolutions are meant to be broken." Don't assume that I get this answer by interviewing a thousand people and stating the majority but I get it from myself I'm no different from all the people out there at the end of the day I'm human. I lay before you the answer that I have pesonally experienced. Why not respect our decisions and not humour them? Why not make Resolutions a thing not in tune with a new year but in tune with the fact that whenever we feel the need to improve? Why not take that little step that might help us?
When we decide to take care of the small things the big things get taken
care of. Talking about resolutions maybe the smallest thing but as
many might agree small things do matter. By this time you must be thinking that why am I wasting my time reading this piece when I can just lay back and relax, after all this writing is leaving me with no answers. The answer to this question I can answer because I am giving you things to think about, the things which we don't seem to care about but can make a difference in our lives, stating the obvious, after all each and every drop
makes the ocean and without each drop the mighty ocean is weak. WE
ARE BUSY, WHO HAS THE TIME, this is why I am here, I lay before you the
questions you just have to answer to yourself and the answers you choose
can change the way you look at life and in turn change the way life looks
at you. If you have reached this far then I believe that you have already
made a choice , the choice to change, change to improve and who knows these small drops in the ocean may let you get what the others have wasted their lifetimes over you might attain nirvana, self realisation.........
